Opening More Doors

There are moments when I feel like I’m standing in a long hallway. Behind every closed door is a group of people who need to hear the truth about substance use disorder. Some of those doors are already open. I’ve walked through them — into schools, auditoriums, and community centers — and shared my story.

But so many doors are still closed. And I can’t knock on all of them myself.

That’s why this moment matters. We’re asking for your help to open more of those doors. Not for me, but for the students who are one bad decision away from tragedy. For the parents who don’t know how to start the conversation. For the communities that have lost too many already.

Every time I share It’s Not You Until It Is You, I see people lean forward. I see the silence crack a little. I see eyes open to the reality that SUD is not a stranger’s problem — it’s all of ours.

If you believe this conversation should be happening where you live, work, or worship, I invite you to take that step with us. Sometimes all it takes is one person willing to say, let’s open the door.

Peace and love,

Harris (H. Lee Insler)

We’ve created a simple way for you to help open more doors. With just a few clicks, you can invite your local school, workplace, or organization to connect with The Zach Project.
