The new year can bring new beginnings, occasions and stories to everyone’s life. We hope you will stay with us for the start of Season 2 of TGMBH and our website, VFTOC. We will still bring you stories of people who have been tragically affected by SUD/OUD and the losses they have had to bear. However, we are going to add more stakeholders in the fight to end the stigma and the losses that this substance abuse epidemic has caused. By adding new participants to our advocacy, their stories will aid us in this fight.
With this in mind, we will share stories and podcasts with a new group of individuals featured. There will be stories of people in recovery, who will share the ups and downs of their road to recovery and good health. We will also feature practitioners in the field of recovery. In addition, we will ask others who are involved with research in public health, incarceration as it relates to substance abuse and harm reduction.
Many people who are advocates will share their knowledge with our core audience. It’s amazing to me how so many people who have lost a loved one, do become advocates and share their stories in hopes of helping someone out there. Along with the new stakeholders in the fight, perhaps we can grow our audience and continue to learn from each of our participants. The goal is to learn, grow and unify to say, “No one died today because of any kind of substance abuse!”
